YEM Interview: William Gao talks about Heartstopper

William Gao is an actor that can be seen in the television show Heartstopper. Heartstopper is a British coming-of-age romantic comedy streaming television series on Netflix, adapted from the webcomic and graphic novel of the same name by Alice Oseman. It is about Teens Charlie and Nick, who discover their unlikely friendship might be something more as they navigate school and young love in this coming-of-age series.The show premiered on Netflix back in April. William Gao portrays the character of Tao Xu. YEM was able to interview William and speak to him about so many things. William spoke about his character Tao, about how he is similar/different to his character, and about the show.

During the interview William was asked “Who is Tao? Can you lay out your character for us, what he does, who he is?” He answered by stating “Tao Xu is a character who is Charlie’s really good friend, probably Charlie’s best friend actually. He is very opinionated. He is quite cynical, but in his own special way. He is not afraid to say what he thinks, and that is what I love most about him. He gets really entangled in a lot of stuff at school and a lot of drama, but at the deepest level he is a loving friend and he is a very caring person.”

Tune in and join us for this exciting Bebe Wood interview and learn more about what it's like to be part of the cast of Love, Victor. Bebe is an actress who can be seen portraying the character Lake Meriwether in Love, Victor. Love, Victor is an American teen comedy drama television series. The show is set in the world of the groundbreaking movie, Love, Simon. The third and final season of “Love, Victor '' premieres June 15th on Hulu and Disney+. Bebe played an important character, Lake Meriwether, and did an excellent job. YEM was able to interview Bebe about the final season of the show, her character, and so much more.

In the interview Bebe was asked “Were you guys aware of the announcement that was coming that it was going to be the final season? How much of the show had you filmed when you found out?“. She replied by saying “I think we always kind of had an idea that the third season was going to be our last season. I think purely from the standpoint that in this new world of television consumption that is streaming a lot of times alot of shows that are on streaming services do not go beyond three seasons. So I think all of us as people who are familiar with that had some sort of inkling that was going to be the case. Maybe a couple weeks into filming season three we were told officially, and we had a very sweet zoom meeting where everyone hopped on and we talked about it, and all kind of went around and shared our favorite memories. It's all very bittersweet for us too, but I'm glad that we had that knowledge as we were shooting because it really allowed us to enjoy the process, and enjoy creating together. Three years is a long time, and we have all gotten to know each other really well, and created this little Love, Victor family. I think it was really helpful to make the third season knowing it would be the final, just so that we could really enjoy it, and hopefully that could come through in the finished product. I know it will because when you are making things with love it always shows. I am happy that we had that because it gave us closure“.

There's no doubt that Stranger Things Season 4 is sure to be both thrilling and exciting. In this exclusive interview with one of the actors from the show, Logan Riley Bruner, we dive into all the details.

Long Riley Bruner plays Fred Benson in Stranger Things Season 4 and we are sure he will do an excellent job. In the interview, Logan was asked, “Who is Fred Benson?”. He replied by saying “Fred Benson is a journalist. That is about all I can say, unfortunately. I want fans to be really excited to be able to meet Fred and get to see the journey that he gets to go on. He is definitely the kind of guy who maybe pokes his nose where it does not need to be poked. But hopefully, he doesn't get into too much trouble. He is a journalist who is constantly looking for the next big scoop. I'm really excited for fans to get to meet him and find out more about him.”

Lonnie Chavis is an actor who can be seen on the television show This Is Us and in the movie The Boy Behind the Door. Lonnie portrays the character of Young Randall in This Is Us, and Bobby in The Boy Behind the Door. This Is Us follows the lives and families of two parents, and their three children, in several different time frames The Boy Behind the Door is a 2020 American horror-thriller film. YEM had the opportunity to interview Lonnie. Lonnie was able to share what it was like to be a part of both projects, and what it was like to play his characters. He also shared a lot more about himself and what it is like to be an actor in the industry along with so much more. When asked “How does your character on “The Boy Behind the Door” differ from Young Randall on “This Is Us”? Lonnie responded by saying “Randall had to go through different experiences than Bobby did. Bobby had a whole different experience, he had to fight for his life, he had to save his best friend, scream, kick, cry. Randall is going through a whole different time. He has to deal with racism, school, and girls. There is a whole difference there. Make sure to watch the full interview of Lonnie below. Lonnie was really able to give a lot of good information about his projects and the characters that he portrays in both of them. Euphoria is a television show that follows the troubled life of 17-year-old Rue, a drug addict fresh from rehab with no plans to stay clean. It is an American adaptation of the Israeli show of the same name. Euphoria has been extremely successful on the streaming platforms and its season 2 is now streaming. Season 2 of Euphoria premieres weekly on HBOMax. YEM was able to do an interview with Elias Kacavas. Elias portrayed the role of young Cal. Elias was able to share many great details in the interview about many different things. He touched on his process of getting the part, how he plays his character, and what to expect in the future.
