Today we bring you an exclusive interview with Adrian Lyles of HSMTMTS. Adrian talks to us about what it was like playing Jet from HSMTMTS. We get into all the juicy details and ask about the HSMTMTS Season 3 Finale, Jet and Maddox's relationship, the future of Jet and Big Red, and so much more! Fans fell in love with the songs that Jet was a part of from HSMTMTS and we got to chat about more of the details around the music itself.
In this interview with Adrian Lyles we also had the opportunity to discuss the various relationships in HSMTMTS. We were able to learn more about fan favorites Jetney, Jetwen, and Rina. It was great to get Adrian's perspective so be sure to watch this interview all the way until the end!
Adrian Lyles of HSMTMTS is gifted and did a fantastic job playing Jet from HSMTMTS. We're crossing our fingers and hoping to see Adrian Lyles play Jet in Season 4 of HSMTMTS. It's no secret that High School Music The Musical The Series is a massive success and we look forward to seeing how Adrian Lyles and his character Jet draw in new fans and continue to win over existing fans.

If you’re a fan of the musical world, you’ll want to tune into this interview! YEM got to sit down with Garrett Clayton, star of musical classics, Teen Beach Movie and Hairspray Live, and talk all about his career and his experience acting. Garrett shared all about his time acting in movies, TV, and theater, as well as some of the upcoming projects he has. It was so great to talk to Garrett all about this, so you’ll definitely want to see our full conversation with him!
Garrett first told us a little bit about how he got started in the acting industry. Looking back at his time acting, we talked about how Garrett didn’t start in a major hub like NYC or LA, so it was so interesting to hear about how his career has progressed. One of his most recent career developments has been his role as Pennywise in IT: A Musical Parody. Garrett talked all about the show and what it was like to perform onstage again after the pandemic. He also shared a little bit about his passion for theater, and how much he loves performing and watching live performances.
Garrett has also gained quite a bit of popularity on TikTok, with 4.4 million followers, so we talked a lot about what his experience has been like on the act. TikTok is such a great platform for creativity, but it’s definitely different in terms of the traditional acting industry, so we dove into what he’s experienced while on the app that was different from his prior acting experience. Garrett also talked a lot about how he manages his own creativity while dealing with some hate comments and trolling, so he shared some advice on how he deals with that. Finally, Garrett tells us all about what’s next for him!

Heartstopper took the world by storm after its release on Netflix, and we still can’t get enough! The show explores sexuality, relationships, queerness, and high school dynamics through some of the most lovable characters you’ll ever see on screen. YEM got the chance to sit down with William Gao, who plays one of our faves on the show, Tao Xu. Tao is close friends with Charlie and plays a main role throughout the first season of the show. Today, we have William answering some Twitter fan questions, so be sure to tune in to hear everything we talk about with him! We also have a full interview with William up on our website and YouTube that you’ll definitely want to check out as well!
First, we got into a little bit about Tao as a character, and had some fans ask some super interesting questions! William told us everything, from what Tao’s favorite film is to what he would wear to the MET Gala! Also, William goes through some differences he shares with his character, specifically surrounding Marvel movies. It was so fun to have these questions to learn more about Tao as a character!
We also got to talk about some fun behind the scenes stuff. With a cast made up of mostly teens, we can imagine that there were some funny moments on set! William shares some of the silly things that happened off camera with his co-stars, which was so great to hear about. William also tells us about some of his favorite memories and lines during his time acting in the first season, so you won’t want to miss that!

If you've been keeping up with the new season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, you’ll want to tune into this interview! YEM got the chance to sit down with Liamani Segura, who stars as Emmy, a new addition to the cast. Emmy is an eighth grader at Camp Shallow Lake who gets cast as Young Anna in the production of Frozen. Check out everything Liamani had to say about her experience on set for the show in the full interview!
Liamani first tells us a little bit about how she got into acting, which was super interesting to hear about. HSMTMTS was actually one of her first roles ever, so talking to Liamani about how she went from growing up in Wisconsin to being on one of the most popular Disney shows was really cool. It was also great to hear Liamani share her experience of being on set and meeting everyone for the first time. Specifically, Liamani got close to Aria Brooks, who plays Emmy’s best friend Alex, and Sofia Wylie, who plays Gina. We loved hearing all about these on and off-screen friendships!
We also got to talk with Liamani about some of the behind-the-scenes action that took place during season 3. We talked about what it was like filming some of the audition scenes and some of the fun the cast had while filming. Liamani and Aria were the pranksters on set, and it was so great to hear about what they got up to! Liamani also shared some advice about being a young person in the industry, which was really inspiring. Peacock TV is giving us our fix of vampires, and we couldn’t be more excited! The new series, Vampire Academy, starts streaming on Peacock on September 15, and we can’t wait to watch it! Here at YEM, we got to sit down with Jonetta Kaiser and J. August Richards, who star in the new series. They told us a little bit about their characters and what we can expect from the show. You’ll definitely want to tune into the full interview!
First, Jonetta shares some information about her character, Sonya Karp. Sonya is a librarian at Vladmir Academy, and one thing that Jonetta tells us is that her character is a little bit spaced out at times. She also shares some fun things on set and what it was like to get into character. J. August Richards plays Victor Dashkov, Sonya’s adopted father. The show’s characters have a lot of interesting dynamics, and Richards dives a little bit into what we can expect from the world of the underground vampire society.
It was also so much fun to talk to J. August about his experiences being such a seasoned actor, and what his process was like working with the other actors. Jonetta also tells us a little bit about what her time was like on set, especially working with such a refined actor as J. August. It was so great to hear about how they learned from each other on set. We also got to talk to Jonetta and J. August about their past endeavors, whether it be working on films or going to college, so stay tuned for that!

Are you ready for another HSMTMTS interview? Well, YEM has got you covered! With the new season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series getting close to wrapping up, we can’t get enough of all our favorite characters, and it was great to get the chance to sit down with Frankie Rodriguez to talk all about his role in the new season! Frankie plays Carlos, who is the student choreographer at East High and camper at Shallow Lake for the summer. Frankie tells us all about what filming this season was like, including some fun behind the scenes moments and the best Seblos moments!
First, Frankie went into the different relationships that Carlos develops and maintains throughout the season. Carlos became really close to Kourtney during their time at Camp Shallow Lake, so Frankie shared a little bit about what it was like to represent their friendship chemistry on-screen, and how he and Dara Reneé, who plays Kourtney, worked together behind-the-scenes. Speaking of BTS, Frankie tells us all about the fun the entire cast had, so watch the full interview to hear all about all of the great times they had while filming!
Frankie also shares a little bit about one of our favorite ships, Seblos, this season. Season 3 is a little bit different because Seb and Carlos are apart, since Carlos is at Camp Shallow Lake and Seb isn’t. Frankie told us what that dynamic was like and the reason that the writers decided to develop their characters separately during this season. Have you been keeping up with season three of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series? Well, if so, you’ll enjoy this interview! YEM got the chance to sit down with Joe Serafini, who plays Seb on HSMTMTS, and talk all about his role on the show, specifically in this season. Since Seb isn’t at Camp Shallow Lake, he’s not as present in season 3, but he still has some character development, and there are a lot of interesting things to talk about!
We got to ask Joe some questions, specifically about what it was like to come back for an episode and have Seb visit camp. We also got the chance to talk a lot about Seblos, which is the relationship between Seb and Carlos on the show. Seblos is a fan-favorite ship, but it also holds a lot of significance to the LGBTQ+ community, so it was great to hear about what it means to Joe to play a role that is so close to so many fans’ hearts. Joe also told us what it’s been like for Seb and Carlos as they’re apart while Carlos is at camp, and what we can expect from the episode that Joe is in where Seb and Carlos finally reunite. You’ll definitely want to tune in and hear everything that Joe has to say about Seblos!
Joe also shared some fun behind-the-scenes moments that happened on set. We love hearing all about the cast and the friendship that they shared outside of the show. From TikTok dances to apartment hangouts, it was so great to hear all about these moments the cast had! We also got to talk a little bit about Joe’s solo show at Green Room 42 and how much he loves performing, whether it be on TV or on stage. If you’re a fan of all things Broadway, then you’ve definitely heard that the hit musical, 13, has started streaming on Netflix as a film adaptation! Here at YEM, we can’t get enough of this new cast, so we were super excited when we got the chance to sit down with Ramon Reed, who plays Eddie in the movie, and ask him all about his time on set. You’ll definitely want to tune into this one to hear all about Ramon’s experience acting as Eddie.
Ramon talked to us a little bit about what the audition process was like, which was really interesting to hear. The auditions for 13: The Musical took place during the pandemic, so Ramon, like so many actors, had a unique experience trying to find and audition for roles. After getting the role, Ramon had the chance to work with seasoned actors, like Debra Messing, Rhea Perlman, and Josh Peck, which he tells us all about in the full interview – you won’t want to miss it!
Any time music and choreography are involved, things are bound to get a little bit complicated, and Ramon shared what it was like to sing, dance, and act in front of the camera. He also had some of the most difficult songs to perform, with super high notes, so he gave us a little peek into some of the training that he went through to make sure his voice was in perfect shape for the film. While Ramon is young, he is still a seasoned actor who has acted in a variety of mediums, whether it be TV, film, or the stage, so he also told us all about how his past experiences differed from 13: The Musical, and what medium of acting he considers his favorite.
Of course, there were definitely some fun antics and great times on the set of the film – after all, it was an almost fully teenage cast! Ramon told us a few funny stories and interesting things that happened while filming, which you’ll definitely want to hear about. If you’re a fan of Never Have I Ever, get ready for this interview! YEM got the chance to sit down with Jaren Lewison, who plays Ben in Never Have I Ever. Ben is a major character throughout the show, acting as one of the two main love interests for Devi. If you haven’t watched the full season 3, be sure to finish it and then tune back into the interview because there are MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!
First, we got into a little bit about the different relationships that Ben has on the show, specifically with Aneesa and Devi. Jaren shares what it was like playing such a multi-faceted character and what that means for his friendships and romantic relationships. Ben’s character is kind of a contradiction; he’s Devi’s nemesis, yet her love interest, so it’s really interesting to hear about how Jaren approached the role so that all of Ben’s sides could be shown. Talking more about Ben’s character, we also got into a little bit about him and Paxton’s dynamic, specifically relating to emotional expression and even toxic masculinity. You’ll definitely want to stay tuned to hear Jaren talk about all these topics that come up during the season.
Jaren also goes into how he hopes Ben inspires audiences, which was super interesting to talk about.
