The Lizzie McGuire reboot show was a dream come true until it was canceled. Writer Jonathan Hurwitz recently went viral on TikTok, fulfilling the fans’ fix with an insider POV on Lizzie’s adult life and the fates of the many characters. The original Lizzie McGuire show premiered on Disney Channel from 2001 to 2004. Whitt Laxson started a podcast called, Duff Enough. It celebrates the life and career of Hillary Duff and with each episode he focuses on the iconicness that she brought for all the hardcore fans.

Laxson interviewed Jonathan for YE about writing on the reboot with Hilary Duff, being a writer in Hollywood, and more.

In the film Adam the First, Oakes Fegley plays a teen on a mission to find his biological father. It’s dramatic and suspenseful and Oakes worked with stuntmen to hone his equestrian skills. The coming of age film, from writer and director Irving Franco, is set to be released on February 14. We got to chat with Oakes to learn more about the feature film and the wild experiences on set.

Because Oakes has starred in many different types of projects, both in film and television, we asked him how he chooses what to work on. He said he picks what he feels connected with. Michael J. Woodard’s musical sound is vibrant, loving and soulful. He first came onto the scene on the 16th season of American Idol when he captivated judges Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. He continues to write and perform music and recently released his debut E.P. MJW1. We had a moment with Michael right before his E.P. debuted to learn more about his barrier-breaking sound.

In The Tiger’s Apprentice on Paramount+ Tom Lee, a Chinese-American teen voiced by Brandon Soo Hoo, goes on a wild adventure and discovers he is part of a long lineage of magical protectors. The animated film cast the best Asian and Asian-American actors and was released just in time to celebrate the Lunar New Year. We have exclusive interviews with some of the stars who voice characters in the film: Sherry Cola, Leah Lewis, Brandon Soo Hoo, Diana Lee Inosanto, Deborah S. Craig, and Tan Kheng Hua.

We even asked Aryan what Grover’s GRWM routine would be, and he said Grover would most likely take time getting the leaves out of his hair before indulging in a big breakfast, maybe even eating a breakfast burrito! It’s so amazing how How to Dance in Ohio is a true story. It’s almost like High School Musical except the kids are way cooler because they can sing and dance AND they have autism. The musical follows seven high school students preparing for a spring formal dance. There’s all these twists and turns that make for an iconic story that must go down in Broadway history.

Take a look at this exclusive interview with Liam Pearce and Madison Kopec, who play Drew and Marideth in this true high school musical. They were so excited to FaceTime with us about their Broadway debut —NBD!— and how the show shines a human and joyful light on those with autism.

Did you know that autism is considered a non-visible disability? And that every autistic person experiences autism differently? Just like no snowflake is exactly alike! The cast of HTDIO includes actors who identify as autistic, neurodivergent, and neurotypical. The combination of these identities is what makes the cast neurodiverse. And we are here for it!
